After last year's success and requests to reopen the woodlands & café, we are delighted to be able to offer this weekend again. Open for people of all ages to explore these magnificent ancient bluebell woodlands.
Mission EmployAble has been given access for just one weekend to the ancient Crosslane Wood (on Burtons Lane), so that families, individuals, children and grandparents can admire its stunning bluebells.
The Bluebell Walk makes a lovely outing for the whole family, including the dog.
Visitors will be able to wander along a marked path in the woods and buy teas, homemade cakes, hot food and soft drinks from our pop-up woodland café.
All proceeds from the day go to Mission EmployAble, which is raising money, with Chorleywood Cricket Club, for a new pavilion and training café for young adults with learning disabilities, on Chorleywood Common.
Tickets: £20 family ticket, £8 adult, £5 concessions and over 60s. Free for under 10s.
"The seas of bluebells were quite magical, especially when the sun broke through the pale green of the tree canopy, and I had a real sense of people coming alive after a long hibernation: Happy families enjoying the privilege of a new place to explore and a fun pop up cafe."Rachel Hatfield.
Free parking and disabled access will both be signposted (If you require disabled access which has a different point of entry into the woods, contact erica@missionemployable.co.uk once you have booked your ticket.)
Dogs must be kept on a lead.
